As you are aware there is substantial earthworks and maintenance works to be completed and we are putting all or effort and time into getting this completed so that we can get our Ranges reopened as soon as we can.

When we do reopen we are considering holding a special event to mark the occasion and we will keep you informed of progress and information.

Thanks to all the Members who have been working to get this done.

Wide Bay Championships 2019 – CANCELLED

posted 4 Jul 2019, 04:43 by Maryborough Rifle and Pistol Club   [ updated 4 Jul 2019, 05:00 ]

The Wide Bay Championships 2019 due to be held at Maryborough on the weekend of 27/28 July 2019 have been cancelled.

In recent months since the official announcement on the sale of the land, club members have been busy catching up with all the building and ground maintenance not attended to over the last seven years while the range has been closed.  Much progress has been made with the range starting to take shape.  Also the club has recently received the lease conditions from the local Council.  An important stepping stone towards the range being reopened for shooting.

However one of the lease conditions are for all earthworks and ground maintenance to be complete prior to the club resuming shooting activities.  Contractors will be on site from late July to commence the earth works to the stop butt and range floor, with club members in attendance during this period to assist.  For this reason the club has decided not to host the Wide Bay Championships in 2019.

The Maryborough Masters Games on the 19/20 October 2019 are being planned to be held at Maryborough on our range providing all the approvals have been received.
