Silhouette Rifle

Using a .22 calibre sporting rifle with telescopic sights and shooting from the prone position, competitors must hit four different animal shaped silhouettes at four different distances.
Chickens at 35m, Pigs at 55m, Turkeys at 70m and Rams at 90m.

Silhouette shooting is popular with juniors and new shooters as a fun, easy and cheap introduction to shooting as a sport.

In many other clubs the silhouettes are metallic, however due to local regulations at our range metallic targets are not permitted.  Paper targets using the same template are used as a substitute.
